Well worth a read.

Ah, the joys of getting monetisation right…Bill Doerrfeld has some helpful thoughts to share in this piece on why self-service is the key to unlocking API monetisation, based on on-the-ground experiences from experts who have been there and done it. If you’re looking to set up a direct monetisation model or tweak an existing strategy, this is a good place to start.
