Open Source API Gateway for Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and CentOS

Tyk has it’s own cryptographically-signed RPMs in a TSL-secured Yum repository which makes it easy, safe and secure to install a trusted distribution of the Tyk Gateway stack on any Linux variant that uses RPM package format.

Each individual Tyk Component can be installed, verified and upgraded using our dedicated repositories, and offers an easy, scriptable and well understood path to getting Tyk onto your servers.

Open Source API Gateway on Ubuntu / Debian

The fastest and easiest way to get started with Tyk is to install Tyk on your Ubuntu server.

We have our own TLS-protected APT repositories that make it easy, safe and secure to install a trusted distribution of the Tyk Gateway stack on Ubuntu or other debian-based Linux distribution.

The Tyk team maintains these repositories themselves, so you can be assured that you are installing the latest official version of Tyk and Tyk Dashboard.

Just want to try things out locally? Use Vagrant to spin up your Open Source API Gateway

We've prepared a dedicated tutorial to get you up and running with a full, locally hosted version of Tyk and tyk Dashboard, with all the bells an whistles.

Our vagrant tutorial will show you how to quickly get set up on Ubuntu with a local MongoDB and Redis installation, and show you how to set up your first API and make your first authenticated requests via the gateway.
