Our mission

The internet started by connecting mainframes, by the end of the 20th century 600m desktop and laptop computers exchanged email and web-traffic. Today around 15 billion ‘things’ are connected to the internet, growing at a rate of a billion per year. Tyk are committed to enabling interconnectivity between systems and between devices. We’ve started by building an API Management platform.

What can you do with us?

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer that can own the testing requirements of our various software platforms, manage documentation, package requirements and ensure our releases are fully and comprehensively tested. You will also interact and engage with our users and our open-source community to identify requirements and issues.

We want someone who is independent and capable of taking responsibility for quality assurance. Our thriving community and our enterprise customers are the people you need to satisfy: we are fanatical about listening to our clients and their input drives our project milestones.

We need someone who likes to ask questions, listen and then deliver.

Here’s what you’ll be getting up to:

  • Work in dynamic environment
    Participate in daily meetings with Product Owners
    Define acceptance criteria
    Write UI/Integration automation tests
    Work with Rest/Graphql api’s
    Operate in Docker/Kubernetes ecosystem
    Work with cutting edge technologies

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Good understanding of testing methodologies including UAT, system, integration and regression testing
  • Experience in the use of test management and defect tracking tools
  • Excellent logic and problem solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to produce documentation and collaborate with others
  • Experience in automated testing and integration testing
  • Demonstrate a solid level of technical awareness and an understanding of web application architectures
  • Some software development experience
